The Busby team is experienced in family planning advice. The doctors have up to date information on contraceptive options, and we have experienced clinicians to assist with pregnancy and antenatal care.
Health assessments and GP Management Plans provide a framework for the assessment of patients’ overall well-being and management of chronic disease.
A chronic disease plan assists the patient and GP to manage and identify goals for disease management. This could include referral to specialists and allied health providers. Every 3 to 6 months, plans are reviewed.
Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) Referrals entitle patients to 5 Medicare subsidised sessions per the calendar year. You must have a chronic disease to be eligible for an EPC.

Bathurst General Practice Group supports good men’s health by having opportunistic discussions on heart disease, lung, skin, prostate and bowel cancers, and assisting men with erectile dysfunction and depression.
Paediatrics is the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. The age range is usually up to 18 years.
The Busby team is a family friendly practice and provides care from birth onwards. Our practice nurses are skilled in childhood immunisations. Other childhood health care includes baby checks, general medical illnesses, skin conditions, respiratory issues, allergies, learning, speech and behavioural difficulties.
In addition to Specialist referral our GPs refer to allied health professionals and include our in-house Speech Therapist
Bathurst General Practice Group is committed to preventative care and uses a “Recall and Reminder” system to provide care for our patients. This reminder system will include reminders for diabetes review, asthma review, skin checks, childhood immunisations, aged health assessments, and bowel and cervical cancer screening.
We may issue you a reminder notice from time to time offering you preventative health services appropriate to your care. If you do not wish to be part of this system please notify your Doctor or reception.
Speech therapy is assisting people with speech and language problems to speak and understand more clearly. Aimee Capple works from our Busby Medical Practice location and diagnoses and treats communication disorders. Aimee works with people who have developmental delay, stroke, brain injury, a learning disability, hearing loss, and have difficulties swallowing food or drink.

Travel Doctors will provide you with expert pre and post travel advice tailored specifically to your trip and travel requirements, prescriptions for vaccinations and medications for your travel needs.
Yellow Fever vaccination and documentation is provided at both Busby Medical Practice and Brooke Moore Medical Practice.
Pre-employment medical examinations determine the employee’s potential to fulfil a job role and to provide the employer an understanding of the employee’s health status at the commencement of employment.
An employment medical includes a physical examination and detailed medical history. Spirometry, hearing assessment, drug and alcohol assessment are available should this be required by the employer/organisation.
The patient or employer is responsible for the initial consultation, and the Practice will invoice the insurer directly once a valid insurance claim is confirmed. The GP’s offer additional services including WorkCover, private or commercial driving examinations and trotting medicals.”

Most conditions settle with rest and short term anti-inflammatory treatment but if required GPs refer patients for medical imagery and specialist advice.
