Our Fees Policy

Busby Medical Practice and Brooke Moore Medical Practice are private billing practices.

Each practitioner operates their own medical service business and has their own schedule of fees. All consultation fees billed are at the discretion of the treating practitioner.

Consultations for Veteran Affairs, Pension, Health Care Card holders and children less than the age 16 may be bulk billed at the discretion of the treating practitioner.

Patients are encouraged to discuss with their practitioner any difficulty they have in paying the consultation fee.

Payment is required on the day of the service and Busby Medical Practice is equipped with Medicare Easyclaim.

Dr. John Schibeci

Dr Schibeci’s major clinical interests are internal medicine, paediatrics, obstetrics and dermatology. Dr John Schibeci has gained his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and operates his own medical services business at Busby Medical Practice. ABN 12 853 124 128.

Dr Jane Lawrence

Graduated from University of NSW in 1983, Jane spent time in England working in Geriatrics and Psychiatry as well as General Medicine. She commenced in General Practice in 1990. She is interested in all aspects of family medicine especially Women’s Health, including antenatal care and contraception. She is trained in the insertion and removal of Implanon. Dr Lawrence also has an interest in Paediatrics, Geriatrics and Preventative Medicine. Jane provides a weekly visiting service to St Catherine’s Residential Aged Care facility and has an appointment as a visiting medical officer at Bathurst Private Hospital. Dr Lawrence is married to Dr Bruce McGarity, one of our local Consultant Physicians, and they have four daughters. Dr Jane Lawrence operates her own medical services business at Russell St Medical Centre.

Dr. Mark Pulley

Dr Pulley grew up in Armidale, NSW. After training in General Practice in Central West NSW, he moved to Bathurst in January 2005. Dr Pulley has a personal interest in photography and is the very proud owner of his cats, Gato.

Dr Goka Avinash

Dr Avinash graduated in India and then trained in the UK in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, Cardiology/Critical Care and gained full registration with the General Medicine Council of the UK in 2000. He moved to Australia and worked in Emergency Medicine and Paediatric Medicine in Sydney’s West Area Health. Dr Avinash then trained in Child & Adolescent Mental Health in Orange Base Hospital, NSW. His areas of interest include hypertension, heart disease, lung disease (including Asthma and Emphysema), Paediatrics and Skin Cancer surgery. Dr Avinash has completed his certificate in Advanced Skin Cancer Surgery through HealthCert International under the University of Queensland. Dr Catherine Stewart

Dr Catherine Stewart is an experienced GP with additional qualifications in Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Dr Stewart works on Tuesdays offering appointments for women’s health, including antenatal care, menstrual disorders, contraception, incontinence, ring pessary fitting and care. She inserts implanon, mirenas and copper IUCD’s. Patients are advised to book an appointment with another GP for matters unrelated to women’s health. Dr Stewart is involved in GP Registrar teaching and medical education. She lives in Bathurst with her family. Dr Atma Rana

Dr Rana has special interests in Diabetes, Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular disease, Dermatology, skin cancer and surgical procedural work. He has completed a Diploma in Child health through Sydney Children’s hospital and University of Sydney. He has also completed Professional Certificate of Dermoscopy and Advanced Certificate of Skin Cancer Surgery through HealthCert International. Dr Rana is also keen on Indigenous health, preventative medicine, sports and general medicine.

Dr. Monica Gaur

Dr. Monica Gaur is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). She trained as a specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in India before relocating to Australia in 2007. 

With extensive experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology across various Sydney hospitals, including Westmead and Blacktown, Dr. Gaur holds a Diploma of Child Health from the Children’s Hospital at Westmead and has worked in its Sexual Health Clinic. 

Her general practice interests include women’s health (including menopause, sexual health, adolescent health, and mental health), preventive health, and HIV management (as an HIV s100 Prescriber). She also provides preconception counselling, antenatal care, contraception, and minor skin cancer surgeries. Dr. Gaur collaborates with local liver clinics to manage Hepatitis C and has a particular interest in sexual and transgender health. 

Since relocating to Bathurst in 2015, Dr. Gaur has been involved in GP registrar training and serves as an RACGP examiner. She also works as a clinical editor with Western NSW PHN and as a medical educator, alongside operating her own medical services business at Brooke Moore Medical Centre. Fluent in both English and Hindi, Dr. Gaur is dedicated to patient care and education.

Dr Sarah Koffmann

Sarah was born and lived in Bathurst until finishing high school and moving away to Sydney to study Medical Science followed by Medicine at The University of Sydney. She completed her hospital training in Canberra and then moved into General Practice training in Queanbeyan NSW, followed by Katherine in the Northern Territory. She is a fellow of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine with advanced skills training in Adult Internal Medicine and Obstetrics & Gynaecology.Sarah enjoys most aspects of medicine but has a particular interest in Women’s Health. Sarah has returned to live and work in Bathurst with her husband and their four children.

Dr Hnin Yee Mon

Dr Mon, originally from Yangon, Myanmar, earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 2011 before relocating to Australia in 2013. She completed her hospital training in WA and General Practice training in NSW, gaining the RACGP fellowship in 2019. 

Dr Mon has provided healthcare in Bathurst since 2017. She holds a Child Health Diploma from Sydney’s Children’s Hospitals Network and a Professional Certificate in Skin Cancer Medicine. Currently, she is studying Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT). Dr Mon enjoys most aspects of General Practice and has a strong interest in Women’s Health, Cardiovascular Health, Dermatology, Lifestyle and Preventative Medicine, and Psychological & Behavioural Medicine.

Dr Mon is dedicated to improving the mind’s health with a special interest in Neuroscience, Human Behaviour, and Mindfulness and is trained in providing “Focused Psychological Strategies,” including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychoeducation, Relaxation strategies and Stress Management. Additionally, Dr. Mon is a certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher trained with the Greater Good Science Centre.

Outside of work, she enjoys yoga, fitness, hiking, and cooking, and practices Insight (Vipassana) Meditation and Mindfulness daily. Dr. Mon is fluent in English and Burmese/Myanmar.

Dr. Alvin Dousip

Dr. Alvin is a Sabahan native from Malaysia and spent his childhood in Brunei. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Auckland, New Zealand, in 2004.

After several years working in paediatrics, he moved to Australia in 2015 and transitioned into General Practice. He enjoys the variety that General Practice offers and has a particular interest in paediatrics and medical education.

Dr. Alvin was awarded Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in January 2020. He is also actively involved in medical education and serves as a lecturer for medical students at Charles Sturt University.

Dr Gagandeep Kaur

Dr Gagandeep Kaur has more than ten years of experience in Australia in all core specialities including emergency medicine, aged care, aboriginal health, general and vascular surgery, general medicine and mental health. Additionally, Dr Kaur has done her Masters in Surgery from the University of Sydney and Postgraduate studies in Public Administration. She also holds a Certificate of Sclerotherapy with the Australian College of phlebology.

Dr Kaur is settled in Bathurst and other than English can speak Hindi and Punjabi. Dr Gagandeep Kaur is currently undertaking the Practice Experience Program in order to gain the Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. ABN 69 651 488 001

Dr Marcus Hayward

Dr Marcus Hayward grew up in Sydney. He studied a Bachelor of Science focusing on genetics and immunology, then worked in research before returning to study medicine. He completed his initial medical training at Concord and Canterbury Hospitals, where he gained experience in various areas including Emergency Medicine, Paediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, and Palliative Care. Marcus made the tree-change to Bathurst with his family in 2018. He has a broad range of clinical interests, with additional qualifications in Child Health and Skin Cancer Medicine. Dr Binesh Gurung

Dr Binesh Gurung started his medical career in Australia as Resident Medical Officer at Gosford Hospital more than 3 years ago, gaining experience in all the core specialties of Medicine. He moved to Bathurst last year for his GP training. Dr Binesh enjoys all aspects of General Practice and has a broad range of clinical interests. Dr Farah Ibraheem

Dr Farah Ibraheem graduated from college of medicine/ Baghdad university in 2010. She worked in different medical and surgical departments as well as in O&G and paediatrics. She worked in primary health care before moving to Australia with her family. She started her GP training in rural NSW / Mid western region before moving to Bathurst earlier this year. Dr Ibraheem has interest in managing chronic medical conditions, O&G and preventive medicine.

She lives in Bathurst with her two sons and her husband who works as a specialist physician in Bathurst hospital. Dr Ibraheem enjoys spending time with family, cooking and reading. In addition to English, she also speaks Arabic. Dr Farah Ibraheem is currently undertaking the Practice Experience Program in order to gain the Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Dr Mary Shobana Howes

Sho graduated from UNSW in 1998. After marrying a Bathurst local, she completed her GP training in Bathurst, then moved to Dubbo/Narromine for 12 years, and has now returned. She found she was drawn to general practice for the breadth of medicine and that it allows her to build lasting relationships with her patients.

Sho is interested in all areas general practice, in particular chronic disease care, mental health, paediatrics and woman’s health. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, good food, and reading. Dr Howes has gained Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and operates her own medical services business at Busby Medical Practice. ABN 57 275 251 522 

Dr. Akash Tadimalla

Dr Akash Tadimalla completed his medical training from Dr NTR University of Health Sciences, India. He has worked in the Emergency department and ICU back home. He moved to Australia in 2019 and worked as a senior resident at Nepean hospital. Dr Akash has a special interest in Emergency medicine,  women and children’s health and learning new surgical procedures. 

Outside of work, Dr Akash enjoys music and playing sport. He spends time on weekends with his family in Sydney.  Dr Akash is fluent in English, Hindi and Telugu. Dr Akash is currently undertaking the practice exposure program in order to gain the fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Dr Akash Tadimalla is currently undertaking the Australian General Practice Training Program in order to gain the Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.  

Dr Murshed Murshed

Dr Murshed started practicing in the field of internal medicine and general practice since 2001 after completion of his graduation (MBBS) in Bangladesh. He moved to Adelaide in 2011 and completed his Australian Medical Council exam and basic hospital training in Lyell McEwin and Modbury hospital. Then he moved to NSW in 2017. He is sincere, energetic, honest and devoted to his profession. He believes the theme of RACGP, “A good GP never stops learning”. 

He has special interests in chronic diseases, child & woman’s health, Dermatology, skin cancer and mental health. He worked in Glenside specialised mental health hospital, Adelaide. He completed his professional certificate course in skin cancer surgery, Woman’s health, reproductive, sexual health & IUD from Family planning, NSW. He updates his medical knowledge by engaging different types of professional CPD sessions regularly.

He enjoys teaching medical students, registrars and doctors of the independent pathways. He is a conjoint lecturer in Western Sydney University. Dr Murshed lives with his family and known to local community. As a hobby, he likes to take part in volunteering, regular physical activities and gardening. He is an active member of “Bathurst Parkrun. Dr Monzur Murshed has gained his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and operates his own medical services business at Busby Medical Practice. ABN 56 760 912 905

Dr. Jocelyn Rikard-Bell

Dr Jocelyn Rikard-Bell studied medicine at the University of Sydney, and completed her GP training on the NSW Central Coast before relocating to Bathurst with her family in 2021. She holds a Graduate Diploma in Paediatric Medicine and an Advanced Certificate in Skin Cancer Medicine. Jocelyn enjoys all areas of General Practice, with particular interest in dermatology/skin cancer medicine, paediatrics, women’s health and transgender health. Jocelyn does skin checks, skin excisions and minor procedures.

Dr. Zihan Li

Dr Zihan Li was born in China and grew up in Sydney. He obtained his Bachelor of Medical Studies and Doctor of Medicine at UNSW before completing his hospital training at Liverpool Hospital and progressing to General Practice. Dr Li has a broad interest in all facets of General Practice including chronic diseases, cardiovascular health, dermatology and paediatrics.

Speaks English and Mandarin. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, and playing basketball. Dr Zihan Li is currently undertaking the Australian General Practice Training Program in order to gain the Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

Dr Keane Henderson

Dr. Keane Henderson was born and raised in Central Queensland. He completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in Townsville, QLD, before gaining diverse medical experience across Queensland and New South Wales.
Keane has worked at Princess Alexandra Hospital (Brisbane), Prince of Wales Hospital (Sydney), Albury Base Hospital, and Mount Isa Base Hospital, developing skills across a broad range of specialties. He also currently holds the position of Assistant Medical Officer for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.
Now training as a General Practice Registrar, Keane enjoys the variety that general practice offers, with particular interests in chronic disease management, paediatrics, and sports medicine. He is passionate about providing comprehensive, patient-centered care to his community.
Outside of medicine, Keane enjoys watching and playing sport, particularly tennis and rugby, and spending time outdoors.

Dr Jade Hughes

Jade grew up here in the Central West before moving to Newcastle to study Medicine, where she also went on to complete her Hospital training years.
After some time in the city and starting a young family, she has since returned to the area again to commence General Practice training and to be able to call the countryside home again. 🏡
As a trainee she has broad interests in general practice. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with family and being outdoors.

Dr Alexander Ho

Dr. Ho was born and raised in Sydney. He completed a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Applied Finance and worked in those fields prior to studying medicine.
He undertook medical training with Western Sydney University, and spent a year in Bathurst as part of the program’s Rural Stream. He completed his residency in Westmead, Coffs Harbor, Auburn, and Westmead Children’s Hospitals, with terms in emergency medicine, geriatrics, infectious diseases, general surgery, and paediatric general surgery.
Alex has now returned to Bathurst as a registrar to start his training in General Practice. He enjoys the wide range of presentations seen in general practice and aims to provide holistic, patient-centered care.
Outside of medicine, Alex enjoys cooking, baking and rock climbing.

Terrienne Sundu

Terrienne is a Credentialled Diabetes Educator. Terri grew up in Queensland. After studying nursing she travelled and worked in different areas from general, paediatrics to intensive care units.  She spent several years living and working in remote NT working within Indigenous health.  Throughout her nursing journey she noticed a lack of diabetes care, education and services available to people so she did post graduate studies on diabetes.  She wants to be an advocate for people living with diabetes and to provide education to assist in improving the lives of people living with diabetes. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family, gardening and footy.

Aimee Capple

Aimee was raised in Grafton before moving to Sydney to study Arts & later Speech Pathology. Aimee was determined to remain a city girl but during a locum in Orange, met her significant other and fell in love with the rural lifestyle. Aimee has particular interests in the areas of Central Auditory Processing Disorder, Mental Health/Psych populations and Paediatrics. In her spare time Aimee enjoys spending time with her partner & rabbits.
